What does it mean to be critical in Music Education?

As diverse souls, it's not easy to find the freedom and courage to create ourselves as unique educators and respect our students when we live in a world where the hierarchy still exists, and the Student is never right.

On a deeply personal note,

The melodies that filled my childhood home ignited a passion for music within me. A pivotal moment occurred at the tender age of six when my mother, intending to buy me a dress for my first day of kindergarten, led me past a clothing store that shared a wall with a music haven. In that fleeting instant, my gaze fixed upon the window adorned with tapes of my favorite classical composers. The allure was irresistible, and there, I first set eyes on Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, a piece that would mark the beginning of my profound journey into the world of music.

My initiation into the world of instruments commenced during my first year in kindergarten, as I took up the violin at the Elementary School for Music in Skopje. The subsequent years of unwavering love and dedication bore fruit as I delved deeper into the world of music. Participating in competitions and master classes fueled my determination, ultimately steering me toward the viola. At the age of 19, I received a momentous invitation to join the orchestra at the Macedonian Opera and Ballet House, solidifying my path as a violinist and violist.

My musical odyssey is adorned with academic milestones, including a Bachelor's Degree from The Faculty of Music Arts - Skopje, postgraduate studies at Trinity Laban in London, and a Graduate Degree in Viola performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. The journey continued with a Masters Degree in Music Education and Autism, culminating in a Post Master Fellowship from Berklee College of Music, where I currently serve as an Instructor for Music Education and Autism.

As a perpetual student of music and diverse disciplines, my quest for knowledge and love of music has led to extensive performing experiences, both as a soloist and within orchestras. Now, I stand ready and eager to share my musical prowess with those who are passionate about learning and playing music, seeking to honor the boundless creativity of every aspiring artist. Join me in this harmonious journey of discovery and expression.
